Guava is a light pink color based on the characteristic color of apple guavas that are light green on the outside with a watermelon-like color on the inside. As a fruit, guavas come in many varieties and colors including yellows, reds and greens. These are cultivated around the world in tropical and subtropical climates but probably originated in Mexico or the Caribbean with evidence of cultivation in South America as early as 2500 BCE.
